Estimator and Senior Estimator – Central London
Required by leading main contractor working on some of London most prestigious refurb and new build commercial developments. You will be responsible for providing a detailed and accurate cost estimate as part of the proposal process for the Refurb Division. Projects range in value from £1-£30million.
The client requires a strong Estimator to work with the Divisional Estimator and a Senior Estimator.
KEY DELIVERABLES * JOB ROLE
• Proposal review to ascertain key requirements for both the project and construction team.
• Liase with construction team throughout the tender process to both organise and collate site and project data.
• Liase with construction team to produce most economic programme and logistical solution to the project
• Produce nett cost estimates based on market rates. For either fixed price or 2 Stage tender.
• Attend the commercial review meeting to present the estimate in a clean and precise manner
• Attend the post tender handover meeting to pass estimate knowledge onto the project delivery team
• Additional duties will included:
Production of cost plans and budgets
Cost advice where required
Document Control of tender information
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Methodical and analytical approach to duties
• Able to work on own initiative
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate with a broad working knowledge of Excel
Salary:
Estimator Circa £45,000 plus £6.5k car allowance
